Saint Michaels 1812 Consortium

 

Mission

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and celebrate the bravery and determination of the men and women of the Town of Saint Michaels and Talbot County Militia
who stood fast against the British Navy on August 10, 1813 to protect their lands and freedom.


"The Surprise" capturing the British Star, one of 43 ships she captured or destroyed in 1814-1815. The Surprise was built in Saint Michaels and sailed out of Baltimore.
